Unfinished lyrics

She sat all alone on an old splintered beam,
But the voice that she had would've rivaled a queen.

The mantle she wore was a stained threadbare rag
But her blossoming youth turned a princess to hag.

Lines that I'm holding

She lived a life...
from the back cover of a cheap paperback beach novel.
as a character in a gothic novel.
found in the bottom of the play gym ball pit.
between infomercials and political commentaries.
in a corner of the garage, next to the rusty bike and hedge clippers.
six inches under water.
under the wrong side of the rainbow.

I feel like a kid walking up to a piano where I've heard great pieces performed and all I can do is throw out a little Chopsticks. Well, at least I know that the instrument makes the right noise.
